The Saxon Inspiration

Let's be honest, if you recognize the name of this website, you are probably a heavy metal fan. Saxon is not only one of my favorite bands, they have never released a band album. Sure, they've had a few missteps here and there, like all bands, but each one of their albums has kicked absolute ass.

Now, the mighty Saxon have announced their newest metallic onslaught, "Hell, Fire and Damnation," will be released January 19, 2024. The title track, and first single, is currently available on all streaming platforms. The video is also burning up on YouTube.

Now, before we get too far ahead of ourselves, let me tell you this about the NWOBHM legends. Saxon is one of the few bands out there, that have been around as long as they have, where their most recent output is as good (if not better) than their classic records. One can seriously hoist "Thunderbolt" or "Lionheart" or "Carpe Diem" up there with "Strong Arm of The Law," "Denim and Leather," and "Wheels of Steel."

One thing that I love about Saxon, is that their music is instantly instantanious. Their music is perfect for pumping your fist in the air, getting your heart pumping, and finding that feeling of absolute victory. When you're feeling down, depressed, and defeated, pop on some Saxon. You'll feel instantly better.
